Sara Carreira Scholarships – 2025

The Sara Carreira Scholarship aims to support talented and deserving young people who live in situations of socio-economic vulnerability, helping them to fulfill their academic and professional dreams.
All young people aged between 12 and 21, residing in Portugal and attending the national education system in various fields of study, can apply for this scholarship.

“Choosing Mother’s Day to launch this new application phase of the Sara Carreira Scholarship has a deep meaning for us: it represents the care, love, and protection we want to extend to young people who need an opportunity to shine,” says Fernanda Antunes, President of the Sara Carreira Association.

Since its creation, the Sara Carreira Association has been transforming lives, promoting equal opportunities, and believing in the power of education as a driving force for change.

The Sara Carreira Association was founded in May 2021 with the goal of keeping Sara’s memory alive, fulfilling the dreams she didn’t have time to realize, and honoring her generous way of life.
Since 2021, it has supported young people with limited financial resources in achieving their dreams and going further, encouraging them especially to continue their education and contribute to a better world.
